Wet rooms and walk-in shower areas

Wet rooms create a continuous floor surface usually with a dedicated showering area separated by a glass screen. Not an easy thing to do. Care needs to be exercised, particularly around the floor drain to prevent leaks. We use a variety of methods including pre-formed Fundo floor units from wedi to ensure watertightness.

Mosaic tiles are a popular choice in the shower area of the floor because of their inherent anti-slip properties.

Where a completely flat floor is not practical then a low level shower tray can provide an attractive walk-in showering area.

In just a short time, wedi Fundo floor-level shower systems have achieved resounding success throughout Europe.

These unique tileable units, as well as being eminently practical and reliable, have opened up to a whole new world of design possibilities for wet rooms and bathrooms.

The bases are constructed with a ready made fall and incorporate a sealed horizontal or vertical drain and are available in the standard range at:

These exciting new Fundo shapes and enclosures - round, spiral, and pentagonal, are the logical next stage in development and offer stunning new possibilities for bathroom designs.

The fundamental material, however, remains thee same: high quality, superbly engineered wedi building board. Totally impermeable to water, stable, lightweight and the perfect tiling substrate.

These same principles apply equally to the associated range of shower partitioning systems which are shaped to the various designs, which themselves can be produced to project specifications.

As you would expect, all Fundo walk-in showers are supplied with the accessories required for reinforcing and easy fitting.
