Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering any Products from our online website www.classicceramics.co.uk). You should understand that by ordering any of our Products, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use this site. Classic Ceramics reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update these terms of use, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations, or updates on subsequent visits.
1.1 In these terms and conditions:
2.1 On completion of placing your order online, you will receive an email acknowledgement (to the email address provided when placing the order). Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted by us. The contract between us is formed when the goods are dispatched. We (Classic Ceramics) reserve the right, at any time prior to acceptance, to refuse any order or any part of an order.
2.2 If goods are ordered over a weekend, Bank Holiday or after 2.00pm the order date is taken as the next working date.
2.3 If any goods are priced in error, Classic Ceramics will not be bound to honour incorrect prices.
3.1 If the order has already been dispatched, you will be unable to cancel your order. In these circumstances you will have to returns the goods yourself, as stated under the Returns Policy.
3.2 Items made to order cannot be returned – please ensure that your measurements are correct prior to ordering goods that are non-returnable.
3.3 Sale and Special offer items – cannot be returned.
4.1 The delivery of goods to you is deemed to be a separate contract for services, distinct from your contract to purchase the goods.
4.2 For goods which are shipped on a pallet, the goods will be delivered as close as possible to your front door. The delivery drivers are not insured to take their vehicles off the public highway. If your property is unreachable for any reason, such as access being on a private road, up a flight of stairs (such as flats), or any other obstruction (inc. Narrow streets), delivery will be made as near to your property as possible.
4.3 The refusal of a delivery due to examples in 3.2 and 4.2, will lead to the actual delivery costs and collection fees being charged.
4.4 The delivery will be made by a single driver, so please ensure at least one able bodied person is available to assist the driver with the carrying.
4.5 The driver is NOT insured to take the goods inside your property. So therefore if the goods ordered are of a heavy or bulky nature, it is strongly recommended that at least two able bodied persons are available to get the goods inside the property.
4.6 Delivery dates (inc. Next Day deliveries) are approximate and no liability whatsoever is accepted in respect of late deliveries. Please do not arrange fitting of the items until they have been delivered and checked for discrepancies/damages. "Next working day" is the service that we and our courier try to achieve, at certain busy periods and certain areas this is not always possible, due to time limitations. Please allow two days for your delivery to arrive.
4.7 Bathroom accessories with a total order value of £100.00 or less will be charged £7.50 excluding vat for postage and packing. All accessory orders OVER £100.00 will been FREE postage. (Area A only Area,C,D & E areas will be more SEE MAP below for details)
IF YOU ARE ORDERING MORE THAN ONE ITEM FROM THE ABOVE ONLY ONE CHARGE APPLIES - £50.00 excluding vat delivery with no limit to the value or quantity ordered – UK mainland only.
ALL DELIVERIES ARE INSURED FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
Please ensure a telephone contact number is supplied this is for the purpose of order queries and for the delivery driver.
Although many products are stock items – certain items are made to order – as follows
We will contact you if any of the delivery times are different to the above due to Manufacturing difficults or other.
5.1 Small items that arrive by courier, you agree to open all boxes, thoroughly check the goods for damage and notify us via email to shrews@classicceramics.co.uk or aber@classicceramics.co.uk if there is damage/shortage within a reasonable time period (upto 24 hours). If the packaging of the item appears damaged on delivery, please write ‘damaged’ on the delivery note. The courier drivers will not wait whilst you check the product.
5.2 For items which are dispatched using a pallet service you agree to check the goods for damage. Any products damaged in transit must be noted at the time of delivery and documented on the delivery note. We will not accept claims for Products damaged in transit that were signed for as being in good condition. The delivery driver will wait for up to 15 minutes whilst you thoroughly check the items. If you have purchased a large number of items, it is advisable that you have another able bodied person to help in checking of the goods.
5.3 If part of an order is damaged on delivery, accept all of the order but make a note on the delivery note which item(s) are damaged. Notify us within 24 hours and we will arrange collection of the damaged item(s) and delivery of the replacement item(s). Do not refuse delivery unless all items are damaged.
5.4 If you appoint someone else to receive and sign for the goods on your behalf, you agree to advise them that the goods must be checked and you accept full responsibility for any damage or losses if they sign on your behalf.
5.5 Classic Ceramics cannot consider any claims for damage or shortages 24 hours after delivery.
5.6 From the time of receipted delivery of the goods. Any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.
5.7 If an item made to order arrives damaged, a replacement will be dispatched once manufactured.
6.1 Any damages to your delivery upon receipt must be reported within 24 hours of delivery time. We will arrange to collect the goods - which will then be inspected. All original packaging and paperwork must be included. A refund will be processed following inspection, on condition that the product is found to be faulty /damaged.
6.2 Items that you wish to return that are not damaged or faulty – must be returned unused, in perfect condition inlcuding the original packaging in perfect condition. The original delivery paperwork must also be included.
6.3 If the delivery was subject to free delivery then the cost of the original delivery will be deducted fromthe refund. The refund will cover the cost of the goods only.. It will not incude any original delivery charge. It will not inlcude for the collection costs. Any replacement items required will have the carriage charged for in full.
6.4 To return goods you must apply for this in writing via email, fax or letter to the contact below – once we have authorised the return – please ensure that you have covered the item for any loss or damage as we cannot be held responsible for this.
6.4 Classic Ceramics reserves the right to not accept any products where the packaging is damaged or defaced and therefore unsuitable for resale.
6.5 Due to hygiene concerns some of our products cannot be returned, once opened. If you require a viewing of the goods before purchasing please visit our showroom.
6.6 Return of goods after the 7 working day ‘cooling-off period’, if accepted will incur a 25% restocking and administration charge.
This applies to goods which develop a fault after installation and not transit damage (please see section 5, for damaged goods in transit).
7.1 All goods supplied by Classic Ceramics come with a 12 month manufacturers guarantee. When Products are stated as having longer guarantees, these guarantees are covered by the Manufacturer and not Classic Ceramics.
7.2 In the event of faulty goods being returned at the expense of the customer, Classic Ceramics will refund reasonable postage costs.
7.3 All returned faulty goods are tested by the manufacturer, and if the item is not faulty the product value will be refunded minus the cost of the testing process.
8.1 A small percentage of items are held in stock at our showrooms, so therefore please await email confirmation (or phone the showroom) of pick-up time & date before visiting
8.2 Classic Ceramics personnel are not insured to load customers vehicles, so make sure you have an able bodied person to help in the loading of your goods
8.3 Please ensure that you thoroughly check all goods you have collected, as Classic ceramics can not consider any claims for damage or shortages after the items have left our premises.
9.1 If you select the delivery option during the checkout stage, you are agreeing to enter into the delivery service contract.
9.2 Once the items have been dispatched the service contract can not be cancelled.
9.3 The refusal of a delivery, will lead to the actual delivery costs and collection fees being charged. Please Note that the actual costs will be considerably higher than the standard price you were originally charged.
9.4 Do not refuse delivery of a pallet unless all items are damaged (see 5.3), as you will be charged the actual delivery cost and collection fee.
9.1 This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the Supplier, failure to follow the Suppliers instructions, misuse, or any alteration or repair carried out without the Suppliers approval.
10.1 By law we have to provide written information to you regarding your rights as a consumer. When using our site, you are accepting that we can send this information electronically to you (on the email you supplied when placing your order) and accept that these contracts and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
As Classic Ceramics continues to grow, we would like to use comments and feedback supplied by our customers to improve our customer service levels and product ranges.
11.1 By sending us your comments regarding products and/or customer services, you agree that we can publish them online. In giving us permission to use your comment you are also given us permission to use only your name and town of residence.
11.2 If you have experienced any problems with our service, please notify us with the facts to shrews@classicceramics.co.uk/aber@classicceramics.co.uk, and allow up to 14 days for a investigation to be carried out and to supply feedback to you.
11.3 If after 12.2, you feel that you have not been treated justly, please do not leave feedback on any online resource without adding the feedback from our customer services department to give a balanced view.
11.4 Publication of fallacious material will result in legal action for libel against the publisher.
